MAC Exibition "Totte Mannes"

On Friday leaving of the school, I decided to go to meet the new exhibition at the Museum "Mac. " They are paintings by Totte Mannes, an artist who was born in Finland. She is very talented, what I saw is that she uses music as inspiration, masks, opera, candles, ecumenical, waves, cultures, etc.. All paintings are born from a previous series, are like a chain but without any connection.

She shows us three great exhibitions, "Removed Sculptures" inspired by the death of his friend Miguel Berrocal, who was devoted to making small removable sculptures. Totte Mannes had the idea to paint a beginning of a total disaster and then ordering the different parts in a clear and harmonious composition.

The other exhibition is called "ecumenical" is about the religious symbolism and the idea of the artist is to unite the different religions, which is often what separates people and causes wars. For this exhibition Tottem was inspired by several visits she made to Mexico.

She fell in love with our country, its art and culture. She wrote a book in their native language about their experiences in Mexico. I think it's a very good artist, works great with the brush and colors and shapes she uses in her paintings are beautiful. I loved the exhibit.
